Close Enough, Welcome Back Blockbuster
I wanna start this off by apologizing for my previous post I was in a really bad head space when I typed that up and if any of my online friends are reading it I wanna deeply apologize for the things I said about ya'll. I didn't have a real outlet to vent my frustrations and that turned into hatred that I didn't know what to do with. With that said now that I've talked with some people about it I'm feeling a lot better and to those of you that this doesn't apply too uhhhh here's Youmu on a trampoline.
Anyways I did something I never thought I'd ever do in my entire life ever. I went to the fucking library. My friend wanted to get a library card for some reason and so we were like "fuck it" and pulled up to our local library. This is crazy insider knowledge ya'll, they got fucking everything in that place. It's like a physical version of the internet archive. Not only do they got a good selection of books including stuff like graphic novels, comics, and manga but they also got stuff like audio books, CDs, DVDs, and Magazines. I've been told the library has had this kind of stuff but I always shrugged it off thinking it was like good will level junk where only the bottom of the barrel stuff that no one wants but nope. I found so much good stuff that you could just check out for free. To emphasis my point I'm going to show you what I checked out as my first DVD.
You know you library is on some crazy shit when they got the entirety of Lucky Star on DVD and you can just check it out for free. All I'm saying is if I wasn't such a law abiding citizen there'd be some missing contents from our local library. Especially when you consider that they just let you check out 50 ITEMS! It's like they're practically begging me to steal Kino's Journey off the shelf and make a run for the hills. Not only are they weeb friendly in the DVD department but they're also got it covered in the manga selection. Not only do they have popular favorites like One Piece, Dragon Ball, and Attack On Titan but they also have more niche stuff like Akira, Chainsaw man, and the holy grail of all manga YOTSUBA&.

Anyways side tangent time! Do you guys wanna hear about DVD menus? You do? That's wonderful because I'm gonna complain about them.
I've provided videos of the differences between the DVDs and the Blu-Ray. On the left we have the DVD's menu which is animated and has cute transitions when you enter different menus. Each menu having their own different look. You can also hear in the background the use of an instrumental version of the Lucky Star intro. Now comparing this to the Blu ray is like night and day. You get a png of Konata, all the menus come up in these pop up menus with generic text, and the background music is some kind of stock music I've never heard used in the show before. It's pretty blatantly obvious here that between the time that these two releases were made less and less care was put into them. Also on the blu ray they had this video where the VAs on Lucky Channel do a live stage performance and I was laughing really hard because I thought this girl looked like Osaka from Azumanga Daioh.
Anyways that's about all I got, stay in school and you know don't like die or something.
